| | Spaghetti with White Clam sauce
1/2 cup of margarine or butter 1/4 cup of salad oil 3 cloves garlic, minced two 8 ounce cans of minced clams, drained 1/4 cup of finely chopped parsley 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon of salt a dash of black pepper 1 pound of spaghetti Grated Parmesan cheese
Melt margarine in saucepot; add oil; heat. Sauté garlic and clams in hot oil mixture over medium heat, 2 -3 minutes. Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 - 10 minutes. Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain well. Return to pot; add sauce; toss lightly. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese. 4 servings |
