| Southern Stewed Corn
8 to 10 ears of fresh sweet corn Milk or water Salt and pepper Butter
Husk the corn, remove the silk and cut the kernels from the cobs with a sharp knife. Put the corn in a saucepan and add enough milk or water to barely cover it. Cover the pan and simmer the corn until just done, about 6 minutes for tender corn. Season with salt, pepper and butter. Serves 4 |
