Pear Pineapple Jam

6 cups of crushed pears
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 packages of Sure-Jell
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
9 cups of sugar

Wash jars or glasses and scald and drain. Use fully ripe pears. Peel, core and crush or grind with coarse blade of grinder. Measure sugar and set aside. In large pan mix pears, pineapple, lemon juice and Sure-Jell. Place over high heat and stir until mix comes to hard boil. Add sugar all at once. Stir constantly until it comes to a hard boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Skim off foam. Put in jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Seal. Let cool and store.
