Ginger Spiced Iced Tea

1/2 cup of sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
3 slices of gingerroot
1 teaspoon of whole allspice
10 tea bags
4 cups of boiling water
8 cups of cold water
1 1/2 cup of orange juice

In large non-metal container, combine sugar, gingerroot, cinnamon sticks, allspice and tea bags. Pour boiling water over mixture. Cover. Let steep about 10 minutes. Remove gingerroot, cinnamon, allspice, and tea bags. Stir in remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until serving time. Serve over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with orange slices. Makes 25 (1/2 cup) servings.
