4 eggs 1/4 pound of Gruyere cheese, sliced thin 1 tablespoon of butter 1/4 cup of heavy cream 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated salt and pepper, to taste
Set oven to 350ºF. Melt butter and pour into a shallow casserole dish. Line dish with thin cheese slices. Break the eggs neatly into the casserole dish, keeping them whole. Add salt and pepper to cream, and carefully pour over the eggs. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. If necessary, brown the cheese topping under the broiler for a few minutes. Serves 2.
